Job Summary

As part of the consumer portfolio analytics team at PayPal, you will monitor key engagement and profitability metrics to assess the health of our portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to tackle complex problems in a big data environment and to develop frameworks for exploratory data analysis (EDA) and root cause analysis (RCA) that deliver insights to cross-functional teams, including product and marketing.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze consumer portfolio performance and health, thereby challenging the status quo and driving data-backed decision-making.
  • Identify important metrics, conduct rigorous explorative data analysis, and create executive-facing reports and presentations.
  • Synthesize large datasets while focusing on granular details to present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across product, marketing, finance, data engineering, and other analytics teams.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, result-oriented environment.
  • Work independently on complex business problems to drive successful outcomes with minimal guidance.

Who You Are

  • A data enthusiast with a minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis across large and complex datasets.
  • You hold a B.S. in a quantitative field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Proficient in SQL and at least one scripting language like Python or R.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • A problem solver who thrives in ambiguous situations and is passionate about finding actionable solutions.
