Role and responsibilities
- Listen and understand the tasks and processes of the Finance and Accounting team relating to the project,
- Collaborate with IT teams locally and in Geneva to utilize their digital capabilities,
- Analyse and define data requirements by evaluating business processes and existing data-driven solutions,
- Apply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualization within accounting, treasury, and financial reporting processes,
- Implement and manage data models,
- Ensure direct and consistent involvement of users in testing the automation to facilitate successful change management,
- Identify new digital techniques, tools, or best practices and assist in integrating them into the company's working methods,
- Document code and processes to facilitate maintenance and development needs,
- Assist the Finance Project Leader in evaluating the effectiveness and ROI of new digital initiatives.
Accountabilities:
- Facilitate acceleration of the Finance process automation, ensuring regular and future-oriented deliveries
- Work according to an established set of priorities, and hold regular meetings with the Finance Project leader to ensure user availability and planning updates
- Ensure active involvement of Financial users throughout the project by conducting periodic tests and demos
- Ensure that sufficient notes are documented to easily adapt the coding for future needs, and to facilitate support and troubleshooting
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in data analysis and process automation
- Work experience in Finance, Risk Control, or Business Analysis is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex data understandably
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, VBA, Python. Knowledge of SQL and RPA would be beneficial
- Proactive and critical thinker who seeks feedback and can identify opportunities for continuous process improvement
