Responsibilities
In the role of Expert-level Data Architect, you will act as a pivotal technical resource in the strategic planning and execution of database structural design and development. Your expertise will guide senior database administrators and application developers on both new and existing databases to support evolving applications. You will provide strategic oversight on the development of data models, enhancing organizational business and mission system processes.

Duties Include:

• Offering consultation across all organizational levels on design, development, and implementation strategies for logical database structures and classification schemas.
• Formulating policies and procedures to construct, maintain, and optimize the data model.
• Guiding the development of metadata tags, Document Type Definitions (DTD), and schemas, ensuring the representation of data and data relationships is apt for both business and mission-critical systems.
• Ensuring metadata and data standards meet the NSG/ASG requirements for data sharing and support system implementation approaches effectively.

Requirements

• Must hold a TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related STEM field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Proven expert-level experience in roles such as Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, including familiarity with DoDAF or IC’s PAG.
• Experience in data strategy, data models, data flow models and standards within a government or industry setting.
• Background in Data Management services encompassing compliance, cataloging, provenance, and more.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a related STEM field.
• Experience with Data access services, APIs, and Linked Data technologies such as REST, SOAP, etc.
• Knowledge of Data Queuing, Messaging, Orchestration, and Choreography services.
• Familiarity with Data Security Services and previous work in NGA and/or NSG/ASG, IC or DoD projects.
