Your Role

As a Data Architect at Capgemini Engineering, you will:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, efficient data-centric applications and systems, providing mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement data strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Support the team by implementing complex functions.
• Architect robust, scalable, high-performance data solutions while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Offer expert guidance on data analysis, modeling, and interpretation to drive strategic decision-making.
• Oversee advanced ETL/ELT processes, enhancing data quality, reliability, and efficiency.
• Innovate in data infrastructure and methodologies, focusing on cost optimization and performance enhancement.
• Act as a subject matter expert in data governance, metadata management, and compliance regulations.
• Collaborate across departments, providing thought leadership and presenting technical solutions to diverse stakeholders.

Your Profile

To excel in this role, you should have:

• 8+ years of progressive experience in data engineering roles, showcasing leadership and mentorship qualities.
• Strong expertise in data warehouse design, implementation, and optimization, with advanced problem-solving and architectural skills.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python and SQL are mandatory), demonstrating versatility with various tech stacks.
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Extensive knowledge of operating systems (Linux preferred).
• Proven expertise in data modeling and designing complex distributed systems.
• Experience with big data technologies and significant contributions to large-scale data projects.
• Demonstrated thought leadership in data governance, metadata management, and data quality/compliance best practices.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strategic mindset with a track record of influencing decision-making and driving data strategies.
• Familiarity with standard AI/ML processes and operations is highly valued.
• A degree in computer science, software engineering, or other engineering domains.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in additional languages is beneficial.
