Job Overview

As a Data Architect at Community Health Systems, you will collaborate with business leaders and data analysts to analyze structural requirements, migrate data from legacy systems, and design conceptual and logical data models. Your role is instrumental in supporting our goal to help people get well and live healthier.

Responsibilities

Database Solution Development

• Design and develop data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Maintain and oversee data governance by defining data provisions.
• Install and configure information systems to manage data effectively.

Structural Requirements Analysis

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
• Analyze and define structural needs for new software applications.

Data Migration

• Migrate data from legacy systems to modern platforms.
• Ensure data integrity during the migration process.

Conceptual and Logical Data Models

• Create high-level designs based on strategic data requirements.
• Develop conceptual and logical models to represent data relationships.

Data Security and Compliance

• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.

Documentation and Communication

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture.
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of experience as a Data Architect or similar role.
• Familiarity with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server.
• Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, MS PowerBI, SAP Business Objects, Looker, etc.
• Experience with programming languages like SQL, Python, R.
• Experience with cloud hosting platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Strong computer skills.
• Willingness to learn Oracle and leverage training, reporting, and process components.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle.
• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Experience with Google Looker Studio.
