Welcome to Architecture and Technology at Ørsted! We are looking for a skilled Data Architect to join our innovative Architecture & Technology Competence team. This role is perfect for someone ready to lead in designing and implementing data-driven solutions using a data mesh architecture approach.

About the Role

As a Data Architect, you will be instrumental in:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and leading the development of our self-serve data platform incorporating a data mesh approach.
• Defining data product models, data flows, and integration patterns to enable decentralized data ownership and management.
• Establishing data governance standards, policies, and processes to ensure data quality, security, and compliance across the data mesh.
• Collaborating with domain experts and data product owners to understand their data requirements and translate them into scalable, reusable data products.
• Continuously evaluating and recommending new technologies, tools, and architectural patterns to improve the data mesh capabilities.
• Documenting and communicating data mesh architecture, design decisions, and roadmap to stakeholders.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to data engineering teams on data product best practices.

Who You Are

To succeed in the role, you should have:

• A proven track record of designing and implementing data mesh at scale.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, and data governance concepts.
• Substantial development and data ingestion experience using Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and services, such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with data engineering tools and technologies such as Kubernetes.
• Experience working with specific AWS services like Glue, Data Pipeline, MSK, Lambda, EKS, EMR, and RDS.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving technical initiatives.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
