Job Title: Software Engineer - Commodities Development Team

Job Description

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to join our Commodities Development team. In this role, you'll collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to maintain and enhance our commodities applications and platforms, focusing on both on-premises solutions and Azure Cloud migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate systems to Azure Cloud.
• Create new Azure applications and services.
• Manage your workload and promote an inclusive, open culture.
• Develop knowledge and expertise in software development and related domains to enhance alignment.
• Deliver assigned tasks with minimal guidance and oversight.
• Build strong relationships with team members and colleagues.
• Communicate clearly and precisely in a concise and timely manner.
• Take initiative in learning new technology products and tools through hands-on experience, certifications, and projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience, particularly with Core Java.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Computing and its components such as Gen2, Azure Service Bus, and Redis.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and principles.
• Experience with Oracle databases is preferable.
• Previous experience with commodities data is a plus.
• Ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
