About the Role: Senior Data Engineer in San Francisco

We seek a passionate and experienced Data Engineer to join our San Francisco office, where you'll collaborate closely with our CTO, CPO, and other leaders. Be part of our vision to transform communication technology and drive our growth forward.

Your Mission at Aircall:

• Design, build, and maintain core data infrastructure to support diverse data use cases.
• Enhance data stack, lineage monitoring, and alerting systems to prevent incidents and improve data quality.
• Implement best practices for data management, storage, and security, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Spearhead the core company data pipeline, translating business needs into efficient and reliable data solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to boost our data infrastructure.
• Define and manage evolving data models and schemas, ensuring adherence to SLAs for critical data sets.
• Mentor junior team members, supporting their professional growth.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to enhance data processing, storage, and orchestration efficiency.

Qualifications:

We value a strong educational background and relevant experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, focusing on designing and building data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, capable of translating complexity into efficient code.
• Experience with data workflow tools such as dbt and Airflow.
• Solid understanding of distributed computing principles and familiarity with cloud-based platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at troubleshooting complex data issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork.
• Experience with data governance, business intelligence, and data privacy is a plus.
