Reporting directly to the Director of Analytics, this role blends industry best practices with daily execution to support data-driven decision-making and operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you will:

  • Assist in executing and implementing analytical solutions, from roadmap creation to project planning, development, and communication.
  • Ensure all applications meet security and compliance requirements, adapting to evolving needs and best practices.
  • Provide support for seamless analytics operations and maintain high levels of data integrity and quality.
  • Conduct periodic audits/reviews to ensure appropriate user permissions.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership, business units, and service providers to deliver strategic solutions and operational efficiencies.
  • Monitor and enhance the effectiveness, accuracy, and scalability of ETL environments and processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Analytics.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • At least four (4) years of progressive experience in complex ETL development within analytics/business intelligence environments (healthcare experience preferred).
  • Strong project execution, development skills, and attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships for analytics services and solutions.
  • Proficiency in data warehousing, Azure Synapse, Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft SQL, Fabric, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership.
  • Proficient in SQL, visualization design, and the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Azure Data Factory/Synapse pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to comply with ethical guidelines, confidentiality, and HIPAA regulations.

This is a non-clinical position. Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
