About the Role: Software Data Engineer

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player to join Nielsen's Engineering team as a Software Data Engineer. Our Audience Measurement Engineering platforms support television viewing measurement in over 30 countries worldwide. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for defining, developing, testing, analyzing, and delivering technology solutions within Nielsen's Collections platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, develop, test, and deliver technology solutions.
• Work within Nielsen's Collections platforms.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3-5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency with machine learning frameworks and models; PyTorch preferred.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data manipulation.
• Experience with web technologies like Java, Python, JavaScript, React/Redux, Kotlin.
• Familiarity with relational databases, big data, and SQL.
• Proficient in using GIT, GitFlow, JIRA, GitLab, and Confluence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Open-mindedness and passion for learning and growing technological skills.
• Strong sense of accountability and solution-focused mindset.
• Experience in unit/integration testing and test automation.
• Excellent testing, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities.

Additional Useful Skills

• Fundamental understanding of the AWS ecosystem (EC2, S3, EMR, Lambda, etc.).
• Experience in building RESTful APIs.
• Experience in writing unit/integration tests and test automation.
