Role Overview

As a Talan Data Engineer, you will be part of a robust team of data experts, enhancing data pipelines for various users, and engaging in the execution phases of BI and Big Data projects from PoC to delivery. Your role will include setting up data collection processes, optimizing data frameworks like Spark, and leveraging DevOps tools to streamline solutions. This position also involves advancing Big Data understanding within our Data division.

Are You The Right Fit?

We are looking for candidates with:

• An Engineering degree or Master’s in a technical field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics, paired with at least 2 years of experience in Big Data.
• Hands-on expertise in software development (Java, Scala, Python), and proven ability in data pipeline development.
• Proficiency in Spark or similar distributed frameworks and cloud solutions like AWS, MS Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in a DevOps environment, familiar with automation and application monitoring tools such as Ansible, Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with NoSQL databases like HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, or ElasticSearch.

Your quick adaptability to different business contexts and technical prowess to meet operational needs will shine in this role. Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for solving data challenges through understanding project objectives are crucial.
