Your Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist at FNB, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering value-added outputs across the analytics value chain to enable business strategy.
  • Creating, utilizing, and refining analytical solutions/models to inform decision-making for growing the WI business.
  • Developing analytical insights to solve business problems and applying innovative solutions.
  • Focusing on optimal service delivery processes to meet internal and external (client) expectations.
  • Framing analytical solutions within the business context by taking a keen interest in business drivers.

Ideal Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum Qualification: Relevant Degree in Maths, Stats, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, Physics, or Actuarial Science.
  • Preferred Qualification: Honours Degree.
  • Experience: 3 - 5 years in a data & analytics environment, with 1 to 2 years ideally at a junior specialist level, including programming experience (SAS or SQL, etc.).
