Job Description:

As a Data Scientist, you will be tasked with designing and implementing methods to analyze, model, and interpret large datasets. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Developing strategies to extract value from large datasets.
• Applying statistical, mathematical, and computational techniques to solve complex data problems.
• Translating practical mission needs into technical requirements for data analysis.
• Identifying and communicating data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Staying updated on the latest industry trends in data collection, processing, and analytics.

Skills and Competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following skill areas:

1. Foundations: Proficient in Mathematical, Computational, and Statistical analysis.
2. Data Processing: Skilled in data management, description, visualization, workflow, and reproducibility.
3. Modeling, Inference, and Prediction: Experienced in data modeling, inference strategies, and domain-specific considerations.

Required Qualifications:

• TS/SCI with Agency Appropriate Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields, with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
• Associate degree holders with at least 5 years of relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Advanced coursework in mathematics and/or computer science is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience in machine learning, data science, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python.
• Expertise in data cleaning, data mining, and artificial intelligence.
