This role is pivotal in bridging data science and public policy to develop cutting-edge solutions that impact critical areas such as migration, security, technology, health, food, and the environment.

About the Role

As a Data Scientist at ICF, you will collaborate closely with both data science and public policy experts to:

• Deliver specialized data science solutions.
• Assist in drafting and developing proposals for client projects.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, engaging with all levels of ICF staff and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to research reports and present findings to clients.

We offer a flexible, hybrid working model which allows you to balance home and office life, with our UK bases in London, Plymouth, Leeds, and Birmingham.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

We welcome candidates who have:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Social Sciences, or related fields.
• Professional experience in consulting, academia, government, or NGOs in a data-driven role.
• Practical experience applying data science to public policy.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R, with a good grasp of machine learning algorithms and NLP.
• Strong abilities in report writing and presenting.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Authorization to work in the UK.
