Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

Intuitive Surgical ranks among the fastest evolving healthcare entities specializing in medical technology. Reporting to the Market Access and Custom Analytics department, this role forms part of the MACA Data Scientist team, closely collaborating with customers, sales, and support service leads to enhance market adoption and optimize the da Vinci minimally invasive robotic assisted surgery.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Act as analytical support for the MACA Regional Director for key IDNs
  • Jointly establish digital products with MACA Analysts that enhance MACA consulting work, gauged by ROI in terms of patient and surgeon accessibility
  • Amplify digital product usage and/or processes and best practices
  • Oversee several digital infrastructure strategies and program opportunities
  • Experience in developing business scenario case studies and integrating insights into clinical pathway planning or design
  • Experience in LEAN, Six Sigma, Project Management, DevOps or AGILE

Qualifications

Skill/Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years in digital transformation, business intelligence and factual case study development; preference for experience within a healthcare company
  • Experience with Healthcare Informatics and Data Systems such as Epic, Cerner, McKesson, Meditech, Allscripts is preferred
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, an MBA or Masters Degree is preferred
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation abilities, team-building, and interpersonal skills to engage with a range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to solve undefined problems and collaborate cross-functionally to implement initiatives
  • Results-oriented mindset & determined to succeed; must be proactive with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Superior presentation skills including the ability to present to large customer groups, executives, or sales team members
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and at least one of these platforms: Python, Tableau, R, MSFT BI or SQL
  • Minimum travel of 25%; 40% for employees based remotely
