Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is Visa’s consulting arm, dedicated to solving strategic problems for our clients including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants. Leveraging expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, and macroeconomics, VCA delivers high-impact and tangible financial results for our clients.

Your Role as a Data Scientist in Visa Consulting & Analytics

As a Data Scientist in the VCA Data Science team, you will report to the squad lead and be based in Bangalore. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Executing and delivering data analytics projects for Visa clients
• Developing credit card portfolio strategies utilizing client and external data sources
• Advocating and advising on analytics best practices within our partners
• Exploring new data sources, potential analytics partners, tools, and methodologies
• Interacting effectively with clients and managing stakeholder communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent)
• 4+ years of analytics experience applying statistical solutions to business problems
• Experience in the card payments and/or retail banking domain
• Hands-on experience with data analytics/programming tools such as SAS, Hadoop, R, SQL, Python, Hive
• Outstanding problem-solving skills with a creative and strategic mindset
• Strong presentation and data storytelling skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, capable of handling multiple projects concurrently
• Experience working closely with the data science community
