Role Overview: Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer

Operating fully remotely, our Data Scientists collaborate across a globally dispersed team, each member bringing robust expertise in fields such as Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Deep Learning. You will handle every aspect of the AI lifecycle, from identifying and understanding business challenges to designing, building, and deploying groundbreaking models.

What You Will Do

• Develop essential features for our state-of-the-art claims automation platform.
• Research, create, and implement machine learning algorithms within our product environment.
• Play a critical role in translating business requirements into concrete technical solutions.
• Deliver and enhance AI/ML solutions from model design to final production, encompassing sourcing, benchmarking, and product-driven research for performance improvements.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to influence the product roadmap directly related to your research and findings.
• Foster the development and strategy of Data Science paths in line with our Head of AI’s vision.

Desired Skills and Expertise

• Proficient in Python and familiar with PyTorch and Transformer-based models.
• Showcased success in deploying Computer Vision or NLP projects effectively.
• Solid grasp of software development essentials, particularly in model deployment.
• A strong foundation in Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Analysis.
• Experience in Agile environments, with a clear understanding of its application in Data Science engagements.
• Interest or experience in AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Ray Serve, Kubeflow, or ReTool is beneficial.
