About the Role – Data Scientist

As a key member of the Aurora Data Science team, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside top-tier professionals to harness insights that propel the Aurora Driver technology forward. You will be instrumental in automating, monitoring, and analyzing our development and operational processes, contributing significantly to our ambitious product and commercialization goals.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to enhance the development of the Aurora Driver and optimize validation processes.
• Develop and implement analytics tools and dashboards to boost productivity and performance insights across teams.
• Engage in robust Data Science projects across multiple systems like Motion Planning and Perception, crafting high-impact statistical models.
• Support strategic decisions through data-driven insights and advocate for best practice adoption in our Data Science and Engineering frameworks.

Who You Are

Ideal candidates should possess:

• A minimum of 2-4 years in a Data Scientist or similar role, with strong Python skills and experience in SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Expertise in data science tools such as numpy, sklearn, and pytorch, with a proven track record of applying these tools in data pipelines and analysis.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex data insights to diverse audiences.

Desirable attributes include:

• An advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science or Economics.
• Familiarity with AWS, ETL pipelines, and big data technologies.
• Experience in Autonomous Vehicles, Robotics, or similar industries.

Salary and Benefits

The role offers a base salary range of $152K-$227K per year, plus potential bonuses, equity compensation, and comprehensive benefits including health care and unique wellness options.
