Where and How You Can Work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney, with additional campuses in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. You have the flexibility to choose where and how you work. Whether you prefer the office (if you're near one), working from home, or a mix of both, it's up to you.

What You’ll Be Doing in This Role

As Canva grows, change remains part of our DNA. Here's a snapshot of your responsibilities:

• Metrics Development: Collaborate with security and business stakeholders to define and implement OKRs and KPIs that measure initiative effectiveness and align with business objectives.
• Insight Generation: Translate technical findings into clear, business-centric narratives to drive strategic decision-making.
• Reporting and Communication: Develop compelling reports, dashboards, and presentations that effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, designers, and product managers to leverage data-driven insights for product improvement and growth.

Are You a Match?

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• A proven record of influencing business with data, ideally in SaaS product growth.
• Strong technical skills in data science – hypothesis-driven problem solving, using SQL & Python, numerical thinking, forecasting goal metrics, A/B test interpretation, and data storytelling.
• Skills essential for successful data scientists – accuracy, faithful data interpretation, persuasive public speaking, and concise, clear writing.
• Comfort dealing with ambiguous problems and experimenting with different approaches.
• Experience in a fast-paced, matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.
• A background in mathematics/statistics and possibly a bachelor's degree in a STEM area.
• Experience in a tech company, with familiarity with tech operations and industry-specific concepts.

Our product has grown immensely, now boasting 170+ million users generating substantial data daily. To fuel our future growth, we need to better understand our data, and that's where you come in.
