Job Description
We are seeking a new team member for our international group.
The objective of the PRISMA project is to replace the existing outdated PUMA software, which relies on SAS and Oracle code, by Q2/2024. This project consists of three parts:
Part 1: Accomplishing reverse engineering of SAS Code through PySpark for input/output tables (an operation currently handled by 3rd party IBM).
Part 2: Data engineering for additional enhancement of output tables based on previous SAS and Oracle code.
Part 3: Front-end development using Kibana and ElasticSearch.
The new software will be implemented using PySpark Scripts in the DNAMITS/SMOPS platform, incorporating development rules and GIT.
What Will You Do?
As a Data Scientist on the PRISMA project, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing Data Engineering by working with data from old SAS and Oracle code to augment output tables.
- Utilizing PySpark, a Python library for big data processing, to implement data engineering solutions efficiently.
- Adhering to provided "requirements packages" to develop solutions that align with project specifications.
- Collaborating with team members and the local German MRF-T team to accomplish project objectives.
- Testing the solutions rigorously to ensure data quality and accuracy, playing an important role in the final approval process.
- Driving Business Impact: Your work significantly contributes to the success of the PRISMA project, key to the overall success of the business, including milestones for Mobile rollout and network modernization.
You'll succeed if you:
- Can read and understand PySpark Code (from 3rd party 1 IBM).
- Can read and understand SAS and Oracle-PL/SQL-Code.
- Have good communication skills and analytical thinking.
- Have experience in Agile Methodology.
- Speak English at least at the B2 level.

Salary
The final salary is negotiable. We offer a base salary that varies depending on the applicant's seniority level and previous experience. In addition to the base salary, we provide a variable component and other financial benefits. The base salary will not be less than 2000 € /brutto.
