Team Mission

The Growth Data Products team partners with divisions such as Paid Search, Customer Engagement, and Partner Tech to enhance GetYourGuide's presence on diverse marketing channels, boost customer loyalty, and optimize our substantial advertising budget. We develop algorithms that engage millions of travelers in booking our extensive offerings. Our Data Scientists and MLOps Engineers collaborate closely to deliver and maintain these data products.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist, you will:

• Develop data products that delight our customers and contribute to company success
• Take full ownership of your projects from business problem identification to code deployment, including:
  • Analyzing vast amounts of data
  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines
  • Monitoring data products post-deployment
• Contribute to our machine learning infrastructure and best practices
• Enhance team excellence through continuous improvements and recruitment support

Who You Are

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Comprehensive understanding and application of machine learning techniques, including regressors, classifiers, and recommenders
• Fluency in Python; experience with distributed machine learning and computing frameworks (e.g., Spark) is a plus
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., pandas, R) and SQL
• Proven business experience applying these skills with a strong track record
• An advanced degree in a quantitative field, with the ability to quickly learn new skills or techniques
