About the Role

Knowesis is actively seeking a Data Scientist I to join our team, supporting the United States Special Operations Command Preservation of the Force and Family (USSOCOM POTFF) program. Our goal is to identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance the well-being of Special Operations Forces (SOF) warriors and their families.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and possess the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance. Proof of U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Support all POTFF domains by providing consultation to identify data capture opportunities.
• Consult with POTFF staff to collect, clean, and analyze data using various scientific techniques.
• Utilize the Human Performance Data Management System (HPDMS) for data reporting.
• Create and manage databases and spreadsheets for POTFF-related data.
• Maintain dashboards for automated data analysis and trend interpretation.
• Assist with survey design, analysis, and reporting.
• Collaborate with POTFF program staff and Government Biostatisticians.
• Use statistical tools and data visualization techniques to present data trends.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations based on data analysis.
• Provide technical guidance on database implementation and refinement.
• Work closely with other POTFF staff to accomplish tasks and assignments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the POTFF Manager or Coordinator.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication and presentation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with initiative and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Access.
• Experience with statistical software applications like SPSS, SAS, and R.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or documented experience in Human Performance.
• Experience in Special Operations, athletics/sports, or military settings.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in quantitative science, social science, or a related discipline is required.
