What You’ll Do

Joining the Data Science team within our Engineering department, you’ll dive deep into data across multiple Uplight product lines. Your role involves building machine learning models, interpreting complex data, and discovering insights about energy use patterns. This position is hands-on from day one, requiring you to build, communicate, and collaborate intensively. You’ll not only develop your own analysis codes but also present your findings across the company.

What You Need to Bring

Your success at Uplight will be driven by your:

• Eagerness to solve business-driven technology problems
• Positive attitude and a general curiosity about data and energy
• Proven experience in building and maintaining machine learning models within a SaaS environment
• Proficiency in using advanced statistical techniques and data science toolkits such as scikit-learn, Spark ML, pandas, and Scipy
• Strong ability in managing large data sets across various systems including relational databases and cloud storage
• Effective communication skills for articulating complex technical details to diverse audiences

Experience in Databricks, MLflow, and proficiency in Git or other version control systems will earn you bonus points!
