Eligibility Requirements

To apply for this role, you must have a Secret clearance and be a U.S. Citizen without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future. Applicants who cannot provide proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the security clearance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of insider threat strategies to protect CDAO technical offerings, balancing short-term wins with long-term investments to enhance CDAO's defenses against insider threats.
• Coordinate policy and strategy related to insider threats in collaboration with industry partners and DoD components.
• Explore data sources relevant to the measurement, identification, and defense against insider threats.
• Provide technical leadership in developing capabilities to detect insider threats within large user communities, using a mix of statistical, classical machine learning, and deep learning methods.
• Document CDAO’s strategic approach to insider threat defense and its alignment with the broader DoD insider threat ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 4 years of experience, or a Master’s degree in Computer Science with 2 years of experience.
• Experience with data science techniques, classical machine learning, and deep learning for anomaly detection.
• Proficiency with Jupyter, Spark, and either TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Previous relevant technical leadership experience.
• Exemplary technical writing skills.
• Preferred: Prior experience in insider threat detection, fraud detection, or anti-abuse engineering.

Note: A traditional background in cybersecurity is not required.
