At Security Foundations, we build solutions to keep Amazon’s systems and data secure for our customers. Our diverse customer base includes security engineers, service teams, and third-party vendors. Leveraging the latest technology, we employ automation and machine learning to reduce manual efforts, help raise the security bar, and deliver exceptional products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, prototype, and productionize innovative models using techniques such as Supervised, Unsupervised, and Reinforcement Learning.
  • Utilize generative AI to create state-of-the-art solutions for unprecedented problems.
  • Demonstrate thorough technical knowledge in feature engineering of massive datasets, exploratory data analysis, and model building using AI/ML industry standards and Large Language Models.
  • Recommend effective data science strategies and drive solutions for complex or ambiguous problems.
  • Collaborate with business, engineering, and partner teams to align their strategies with your focus area.
  • Innovate by adapting new modeling techniques and procedures.
  • Expertly manage and create datasets, working with huge data sets to answer business questions.
  • Implement and operate stable, scalable data flow solutions from production systems into user-facing applications/reports, ensuring these solutions are fault-tolerant, self-healing, and adaptive.
  • Exercise good judgment in making trade-offs between short-term needs and long-term goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)
  • Experience with machine learning/statistical modeling, data analysis tools and techniques, and understanding impacting factors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,500/year in
