Job Description

► Analyzing large datasets (big data) generated during the development and production of automotive sensors, selecting the appropriate machine learning models to facilitate intelligent solutions and improve decision-making, considering customer specifications, reliability theory, automotive standards, and legal regulations

► Planning and optimizing the data collection process and data analysis workflows

► Initiating, organizing discussions, clear communication about data, delivering results according to the project schedule and quality expectations, presenting and documenting reports in English

► Continuous improvement of analytical workflows based on user feedback

► Actively sharing methods, collaborating with internal and external partners in the fields of production and sensor development (e.g. validation and reliability engineers, data engineers/analysts). Collaboration in international teams.

► Support of root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, problem-solving methods and LL

Qualifications

Requirements:

► BSC / MSC studies in computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, physics or a similar field

► Strong programming skills in Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, tensorflow, keras) and SQL

► Strong background and experience in the data mining workflow and development and optimization of machine learning algorithms

► Good communication and presentation skills

► Excellent statistical, analytical and problem-solving skills

► Knowledge of version control (git)

► Accurate working style, good planning, time management and organizational skills, active tracking of tasks

► Ability to work individually and in international teams, sharing ideas

► Initiative, openness, innovative thinking

► Adequate English language skills

Preferred/advantageous knowledge/skills:

► Relevant experience in the engineering field

► Experience in the Hadoop ecosystem and distributed systems

► MATLAB, Scala, Pyspark programming knowledge

► Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBI)

► Experience in cloud-based computing (Azure)

► German language skills
