Job Description:

As a Data Scientist, you will be instrumental in building the Data Science Foundation, enhancing our Data Science platform, and delving deep into the code of various data science models. These models include classification, prediction, and anomaly detection tasks. Additionally, development in Generative AI using different LLMs is underway for process optimization and chatbot applications, ensuring that existing models can also integrate within chatbot interactions.

Innovation is at the core of our operation, with opportunities to explore new technologies regularly through Proof of Concept/Value sessions. We value your innovative project ideas highly and offer opportunities to mentor students by partnering with local educational institutions such as Fontys ICT & TU/e.

Cross-departmental duties also include sharing knowledge and standards with all data scientists within the organization. Activities include:

• Sharing knowledge on new techniques, technologies, and projects, and presenting best practices
• Participating in joint hackathons and technology discoveries
• Supporting other BDO teams with data science queries

Required Knowledge/Experience:

To join our team, you need a minimum of:

• 2 years of development experience
• Proficiency in Dutch and English (both spoken and written)
• Strong skills in Python and SQL
• Experience with Docker in combination with container applications
• An advanced degree in a relevant (technical) field such as Data Science
• Deep understanding of the Azure platform
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or DevOps)
• Familiarity with Secure Software Development standards
• Preferably Dapr knowledge and development experience
• Affinity for data engineering tasks such as data assessment, preparation, and modeling
• Industry knowledge, especially in financial services
