The Opportunity: Senior Data Scientist

The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for building AI and Machine Learning models and pipelines, focusing on generative AI, LLMs, and predictive modeling. This role involves close collaboration with business and product owners to understand data requirements and product specifications, aiding in data-related decisions and product design. Additionally, the position requires working with software engineers to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collecting and analyzing business data or managing new studies to gather relevant data.
• Transforming data into a suitable format for analysis.
• Designing experimental frameworks for data collection.
• Building tools to automate data collection.
• Exploring large datasets to extract useful information.
• Creating reports and presentations for business purposes.
• Identifying actionable insights through correlation analysis.
• Building, enhancing, and maintaining data models, interfaces, and application integration.
• Contributing to the strategic direction of AI initiatives within the company.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 3+ years of experience in a data scientist role.
• PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related work experience in designing, building, and evaluating Machine Learning systems.
• Experience with Machine Learning tools like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, or equivalents.
• Proficiency in statistical techniques and tools.
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
• Ability to create meaningful data visualizations.
• Experience with LLM pipes, retrieval augmented generation, and prompting techniques.
• Familiarity with tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, Azure AI Studio, and vector databases.
• Proficiency in software development best practices.
• Understanding of MLOps fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management, Collections, or financial industries is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.

Desired Education

• Postgraduate Degree or equivalent experience.
