Position Overview: Data Scientist Lead, Rider

Located at the core of Lyft's innovation, our Data Science team propels our products and strategic decision-making processes. As a Data Scientist Lead on the Rider team, you'll play a crucial role in sculpting the Lyft rider app and driving pivotal business choices that prioritize our customers.

This role involves tapping into robust data and employing analytical rigor to discover growth opportunities, shape priorities, and devise technical solutions. Collaboration is key; you'll work alongside product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to transform insights into impactful actions.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize analytical tools to pinpoint potential areas for product and business enhancement.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to translate data findings into actionable strategies.
• Design and evaluate online experiments and contribute to product launch decisions.
• Develop frameworks to monitor the performance across various business and product dimensions.
• Define and refine metrics to assess product health and user satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

• Holder of a degree in Statistics, Economics, Applied Maths, Operations Research, Engineering, or a similar quantitative field (advanced degrees preferred).
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in data science or a related analytics role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience in programming with Python or R, focusing on data science and visualization tools.
• Adept at online experimentation and statistical analysis.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholder groups.
