Data Scientist - Linguistics and Data Modeling at Tahzoo

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with expertise in linguistics and data modeling to join our innovative team at Tahzoo. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in statistics, programming, and machine learning techniques. This role involves analyzing large datasets, developing predictive models, and extracting insights to inform business decisions. Additionally, a background in linguistics and the ability to analyze natural language data is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large corpuses of content to extract insights and identify patterns.
• Design metadata structures, schemas, taxonomies, ontologies, and semiotic models.
• Develop predictive models and algorithms to solve business problems.
• Work with other teams to design experiments and test hypotheses.
• Develop and implement data processing pipelines to clean, transform, and enrich data.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to develop data-driven products and services.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and clients in a clear and concise manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science and machine learning techniques.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Linguistics, or related field.
• Strong and proven background in linguistic modeling, taxonomies, ontologies.
• At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience working with natural language data, such as text corpora and speech data.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Client-facing experience including working with and presenting to Executive Leadership.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.

Salary and Compensation

Salary range: $108,000 - $148,000. Compensation will be determined based on your level of experience.
