Meta is on the lookout for a driven and experienced Data Scientist to be a pivotal part of our Messenger Data Science team. This role is not only crucial in enhancing the messaging experience on Messenger and IG Direct but also offers the chance to lead significant initiatives that impact how hundreds of millions of users connect and communicate.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist for Messenger, you will:

• Lead ROI Efforts: Spearhead the quantification of ROI for messaging products, analyzing costs versus benefits to drive resource allocation and prioritization of product features.
• Address Top Messaging Priorities: Tackle the most significant challenges and opportunities in the messaging space, from developing new features to enhancing monetization strategies.

Through your expertise, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with top leaders across different teams, driving impactful outcomes and crafting exceptional products.

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or another relevant technical field.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in Product Data Science, including extensive experience with experimentation.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, or R, and knowledgeable in predictive modeling, machine learning, and causal inference.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field.

Salary and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary ranging from $206,000 to $281,000 per year, plus bonuses, equity, and additional benefits. Salary will be matched to qualifications, skills, and experience.
