Position Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist (Product Analytics) at Meta, you will:

  • Design and implement data warehousing activities to contribute to product development.
  • Manage and execute data warehouse plans for products to solve well-scoped problems.
  • Identify the data needed to solve business problems, ensure data availability, and resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to meet data needs and visually represent key data insights.
  • Leverage data controls to ensure privacy, security, compliance, and data quality.
  • Design, build, and launch new data models and visualizations using common development toolkits.
  • Independently design and launch data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Support and optimize existing processes running in production.
  • Define and manage service level agreements (SLA) for data sets.
  • Analyze data to solve problems of diverse scope and apply judgment in selecting methods for solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must have:

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
  • 36 months (3 years) of experience in a relevant occupation.
  • Three years of experience in:
    • Custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance
    • Writing SQL statements
    • Analyzing data to identify deliverables, gaps, and inconsistencies
    • MapReduce or a Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) system
    • Python programming

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary range of $202,588 to $235,400, in addition to bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Individual pay is determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Learn more about Meta's .
