Key Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist at Meta, your role will involve:

  • Collecting, organizing, interpreting, and summarizing statistical data to enhance our product designs and developments.
  • Applying quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation skills to understand user interactions across our consumer and business products.
  • Collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to identify trends and opportunities, influencing product decisions and launches.
  • Working on diverse projects that may include product operations, exploratory analysis, product influence, and improving our data infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for the Data Scientist position, candidates should possess:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
  • At least three years of professional experience in a relevant computer-related occupation.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and one of the following statistical or mathematical software: R, SAS, or Matlab.
  • Practical experience with machine learning, ETL processes, relational databases, and large-scale data processing infrastructure.
  • Expertise in applied statistics, experimentation methods (such as A/B testing), and various quantitative analysis techniques.

Location and Compensation

This position is based at Meta's headquarters with a competitive salary ranging from $248,920 to $279,400 per year, plus bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Salary variations are based on skills, qualifications, and location.
