Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience with statistical data analysis, data mining, and querying (e.g., SQL).
  • 1 year of experience managing analytical projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in analysis applications (e.g., extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, or solving business problems) and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • Experience in experimental design (e.g., A/B testing, multivariate and Bayesian methods), and incremental analysis.
  • Experience working with large and multiple datasets/data warehouses and proficient in pulling data using relevant tools and coding.

Your role involves quantitatively analyzing and supporting the strategic perspective for our partners across Google. You'll craft narratives and provide compelling insights from data, enabling better decision-making across Engineering and Product Management sectors. Your findings will influence Google's strategy on products that help power the open internet, such as Google Ads, encompassing search, display, shopping, travel, and video advertising, as well as analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop models and frameworks to gauge the potential of Customer Engineering (CE) initiatives and guide strategic decisions.
  • Gain insights into complex data sets used by CE and our partner teams, collaborating with engineering for enhancements in data infrastructure.
  • Create and manage data aggregation and analysis pipelines, design metrics, and develop dashboards and visualizations.
  • Define and align metrics with workstream objectives, ensuring they match team and organizational goals.
  • Enhance experimentation velocity and analysis turnaround through the use of self-service tools like RASTA.
