Data Scientist - Remote at UL Solutions

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and ML Ops teams to design and implement cutting-edge solutions in retail and Testing, Inspection, and Certification using machine learning, NLP, deep learning, and statistical methods.

• Conduct thorough data exploration and analysis and carry out experiments to validate the feasibility of business concepts.

• Work closely with ML engineers and QA teams to streamline the transition of models from development to production.

• Investigate and integrate state-of-the-art data science tools and techniques into our development processes to keep us at the forefront of innovation.

• Effectively communicate project details encompassing goals, methods, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Contribute to research papers, presentations, and patents, where applicable.

Required Qualifications:

• University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.

• At least 4 years of professional experience in Data Science.

• Proven expertise in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and advanced statistical methods.

• Experience in coding and testing Python in production environments.

• Ability to manage large datasets and a solid understanding of SQL.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for communicating with various internal and external stakeholders.

• High level of autonomy to tackle ambiguous problems effectively.

• Proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
