Data Scientist The Opportunity: As a data scientist, you revel in the opportunity of deciphering the mysteries embedded within a data set and are enthralled by the prospects that IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence present. You'll work closely with clients to understand their queries and needs, and delve into their data-rich environments to unravel pieces of their information puzzle. You will guide teammates and lead the development of algorithms and systems. You will use the right mixture of tools and frameworks to convert disparate data points into objective answers to help your clients make informed decisions. You Have: - 3+ years of experience in the development of algorithms using R or Python - 3+ years of experience with statistic, data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining - 3+ years of experience with analyzing structured and unstructured data sources - Experience with developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of intended data sources - Experience with leading the development of solutions to complex programs - Experience with natural language processing, text mining, or machine learning techniques - Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements - Bachelor’s degree Nice If You Have: - Experience with distributed data and Cloud computing tools, including MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL - Experience with visualization tools and packages, including Tableau, Power BI, Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2 - Master's degree Vetting: Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
