Position Overview: Data Scientist, Workforce Intelligence
Join our RTX Workforce Intelligence team to bring diverse perspectives, data, research, and technology together. Our mission is to provide insights enhancing business performance, employee experience, and HR strategy through advanced workforce solutions and strategic consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist RTX businesses, HR business partners, and HR Centers of Excellence in making data-driven people decisions.
- Collaborate with a dynamic, growing Advanced Analytics team to develop, deploy, and adopt HR data science and AI initiatives enterprise-wide.
- Work with other Data Scientists to design, build, deploy, and maintain Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Time Series, Mathematical Optimization, and Generative AI (LLMs) models aimed at improving the employee lifecycle—from attracting and recruiting to development and retention.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Proficiency in advanced programming languages such as Python.
- Strong data-wrangling skills, querying language experience (SQL), and the ability to pull together datasets from multiple relational databases and file formats.
- Experience working with and analyzing large, complex datasets (structured and unstructured) for training, evaluating, and deploying Machine Learning/Deep Learning/NLP/Time Series models.
- Experience with Predictive/Statistical Modeling techniques like Regression, Support Vector Machines, Decision Trees, Bagging, Boosting, Clustering, and simulation techniques like Monte Carlo.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data science platforms such as Dataiku, Databricks, Alteryx.
- Proficiency in Deep Learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with vector databases/libraries like OpenSearch, ElasticSearch, Milvus, FIASS.
- Familiarity with open-source frameworks for building Generative AI models/applications powered by LLMs (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, Nvidia NeMo Guardrails).
- Experience in building and deploying data science applications using Streamlit, Gradio, RShiny, etc.
- Use of linear/integer/non-linear optimization techniques to address real-world business problems using tools like CPLEX, Gurobi, GAMS, GLPK, or similar.
