Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, specializing in data structures and algorithms.
• 7+ years of experience in research or applied artificial intelligence, particularly within software development domains.
• 7+ years working with machine learning algorithms such as deep learning and natural language processing, utilizing tools like TensorFlow.
• 5+ years in software product design, architecture, testing, and launching.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven expertise in prompt engineering.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning/LLM-based products or platforms.
• Active engagement with research communities, including publishing at major ML and NLP conferences like ICLR, NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, EMNLP.
• Exceptional programming skills.

About the Role

As a Developer AI Senior Staff Engineer at Google, you will lead efforts to integrate Generative AI models into software development workflows, enhancing productivity and innovation. This position involves:

• Designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions.
• Leading research and applied AI to develop next-gen capabilities in software development.
• Collaborating with other Google teams such as Search, Ads, Cloud, and YouTube to deliver revolutionary AI-powered features and functionalities.

The Core team, which you will be part of, is responsible for building the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. You will play a significant role in developing new technologies and improving existing ones, impacting Google’s product strategy across the board.

Location and Compensation

The position is based in the US with a full-time salary range of $237,000 - $337,000, not including bonus, equity, or benefits, dependent on location and experience.
