Position Overview

As a strategic member of our Enterprise Data architecture team, the Director, Enterprise Ada Architecture will play a crucial role in designing and overseeing the implementation of enterprise data strategies in collaboration with business and enterprise partners. This position reports directly to the Global Head (AVP) of Data Architecture and is vital for enabling Sun Life to deliver world-class data and analytic systems.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves guiding the evolution of our enterprise data architecture 'north star' to support advanced architectures like event streaming, Data Fabric, and Mesh on cloud platforms. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading data strategy engagements with business executives.
• Defining data architectures for enterprise applications.
• Developing and governing enterprise data architecture standards.
• Contributing to Machine Learning/AI initiatives on cloud platforms for voice and text data analytics.

What We Look For

Ideal candidates will have:

• Robust experience in strategic enterprise data architecture, particularly in a modern AWS, Azure, or GCP environment.
• A minimum of 15 years in design and implementation of data services, with leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in MDM, Data Modeling, and creating Semantic Layers, Ontologies, and Knowledge Graphs.
