As an integral member of our Sales Team in China, the Economist/Core Data Scientist role is pivotal in shaping our strategic decisions through expert data analysis and econometric modeling. Your work will directly influence our sales strategies and contribute to our profound market impact.
Key Qualifications:
- Extensive background in Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, or Quantitative Marketing including expertise in causal inference, time series analysis, mathematical modeling, and more.
- Proficient R/Python programming skills with experience in SQL and ETL data pipeline management.
- Proven experience in designing decision-making systems and data-driven business solutions.
- Capability to communicate complex technical details to a non-technical audience.
- Strong verbal and written skills in Mandarin Chinese and English.
Role Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various internal teams to understand business challenges and deliver data-driven insights and solutions.
- Develop statistical models to forecast sales trends and evaluate the impact of new business programs.
- Analyze multi-faceted data to uncover underlying drivers of business performance.
- Design and implement advanced decision support systems to enhance business decision-making.
- Create and refine visualization and modeling tools to support internal analytics.
- Effectively communicate analytical findings and strategic recommendations to business stakeholders.
Educational Requirements:
- PhD in Economics, Operations Research, Marketing Science, or a closely related field.
- M.S. in a related field with over 5 years of experience in applying advanced econometric models in business contexts.
