Job Opportunity: Elasticsearch Core Infra Java Engineer

We are seeking a talented Java Engineer to enhance our Elasticsearch Core Infra Team. The primary goal of this team is to forge the underlying infrastructure that empowers engineers to innovate, support, and extend our leading product, Elasticsearch.

Responsibilities Include:

• Developing large-scale projects that refine the core infrastructure of Elasticsearch.
• Designing and executing new scalable features and APIs.
• Enhancing the performance and optimizing data structures within Elasticsearch.
• Collaborating on open-source projects and with users worldwide to continually improve our product.
• Driving technical strategies in response to industry changes in Java and related technologies.

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in crafting APIs and understanding their tradeoffs.
• Proficiency in algorithms and data structures.
• Eagerness to tackle new problems and effectively seek guidance when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with OS-level security like Seccomp.
• In-depth knowledge of JDK internals and containers such as Kubernetes.
