We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to our innovative Data Center Engineering team at Google. This role focuses on advancing the physical and technological frameworks of our data centers, impacting how we optimize our power usage and implement environmentally sustainable solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in bidding, designing, operating, and commissioning electrical systems specific to mission-critical facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven expertise in electrical systems commissioning.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and control systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.

About the Role

As a Data Center Electrical Engineer, you'll be engaged in extensive program-level engineering projects and adapting existing infrastructures to meet evolving needs. Your responsibilities will span from generating innovative ideas, communicating those ideas to senior-level executives, and driving their implementation to managing project-specific targets like safety, quality, schedule, and cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with our core team to evolve data center mechanical designs from initial concepts to fully tested and commissioned infrastructure.
• Guide procurement processes, including statement of work (SOW) preparation and technical bidding.
• Ensure top-quality manufacturing, delivery, and installation of key mechanical equipment.
• Keep internal design specifications, drawings, and standards up-to-date with the latest configurations.
• Develop next-generation mechanical system products that align with long-term strategic goals of the company.
