We propose to you to join our Product Research & Development Department Mechanical & Electronic Division  as a Intern.

The internship is to be filled at our Sercel site in Nantes  for a duration of 6 months.  

Job Description

Internship subject  :

Statistical modeling of ground-level radio propagation from field data and measurements

Context: :

During seismic measurement campaigns, several thousand IoT sensors are deployed over large areas. These produce seismic data but also logs (State of Health, system errors, etc.) that can be exploited to model radio propagations.

Internship subject:

Statistical modeling of ground-level radio propagation from field data and measurements.

• Understanding the application composed of a large network of interconnected IoT sensors
• Collection and Organization of data files and field measurements concerning this radio network
• Implementation and adaptation of software tools for extracting a large set of field data from these files
• Development of a geographical data display tool for a synthetic view
• Statistical analysis and correlation search with topology and field configuration
• Participation in the modeling resulting from this analysis and confrontation with the theoretical models already available in the company

Interest of the internship:

• Practical implementation of data analysis techniques on a large set of field data
• build up skills in statistical analysis and modeling
• development of a software utility for data presentation

Multidisciplinary teams (Hardware Division, Software Division, Systems Engineers, etc.)

Qualifications

Profile:

Last year of Engineering course or Master 2 Data Scientist / Analyst

Desired school / desired training  :

Master in Computer Science with Data Science curriculum

Additional Information

This internship is to be filled at our SERCEL site in Nantes for a duration of 6 months.

35 hours per week for 4 days from Monday to Thursday, flexible hours
