About Your Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will:

• Guide the development and deployment of model serving and model metrics & monitoring.
• Drive innovation and ensure the success of projects by overseeing all aspects of our engineering processes.
• Strategically align open-source initiatives with our business objectives, enhancing both growth and collaboration within teams.
• Leverage your expertise in model serving, MLOps, and Responsible AI to lead a high-performance team culture.
• Work remotely, collaborating with a diverse team located across various European locations.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Lead and motivate a distributed team, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Actively participate in AI and machine learning open-source communities like KServe, TrustyAI, and HuggingFace.
• Collaborate with product management and other engineering teams to craft technology roadmaps, ensuring clear communication of these plans.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage documentation, product management, and quality assurance, crucial for deploying enterprise-grade MLOps software.
• Guide agile development practices as you work closely with technical and scrum leads.
• Mentor team members, fostering their career and professional development.
• Recruit and develop a top-tier engineering team.

What You Will Bring

Ideal candidates for this role should have:

• Over 5 years of hands-on software development and system design experience.
• At least 2 years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• A proven track record in leading machine learning engineering teams with successful project delivery.
• Strong skills in machine learning frameworks and tools like PyTorch and HuggingFace.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Go.
• Experience with scaling applications using Kubernetes and a solid understanding of core machine learning concepts.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead diverse, distributed teams.
