About the Role: Enterprise Data Architect

We are looking for an Enterprise Data Architect who will be instrumental in defining Transurban's data strategy. This role emphasizes enhancing the value and reusability of enterprise data through modern data management frameworks. Key Responsibilities

The Enterprise Data Architect will:

• Optimize standardized and efficient data integration solutions.
• Bring thought leadership to drive an AI-focused mindset within the organization.
• Provide technical leadership, management, and governance for technology selection and implementation.
• Develop and maintain enterprise data models for data storage, processing, and access.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Define and govern master data to ensure a consistent single view.
• Develop data frameworks for data publishing, storing, and processing.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking candidates with a curious mind and relevant skills and experiences, including:

• Extensive experience in Technology Architecture, particularly in establishing and maintaining Data Architecture.
• Deep expertise in Information and Data architecture, including Warehousing and Analytics software applications (e.g., customer profitability, propensity to buy).
• Proficiency in data platform technologies such as Synapse, Data Bricks, and Snowflake.
• Experience with cloud and hybrid platforms at an enterprise scale.
• Advanced analytics skills using tools like Tableau.
• Knowledge of big data technologies, including Snowflake and Redshift.
• Understanding of AI and the ability to incorporate key analytics and AI technologies.
• Experience with real-time architectures to expose data pipelines to user-facing applications like APIs.
• Familiarity with event streaming platforms like Kafka for handling large data volumes.
• Experience with advanced analytical tools and an understanding of ML frameworks.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to articulate business value derived from technological advancements.
• Strong grasp of technology industry trends and the influence of business and technology strategy on Enterprise Architecture and future roadmaps.
