Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is actively seeking an experienced Data Scientist specializing in Generative AI to enhance our team's capabilities across a variety of locations. This role involves creating and leading the development of AI pipelines, from data processing to model deployment, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive Generative AI enabled pipelines from ground up.
• Lead and mentor a dynamic team of data scientists in pioneering analytics and machine learning projects.
• Collaborate with key business sectors to solve critical problems and pinpoint trends and opportunities.
• Perform algorithm and code reviews, contributing to the design and implementation stages.
• Work autonomously with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Location and Travel

The position is hybrid, requiring some onsite presence depending on the team's needs and could potentially vary in the future. Travel is required up to 10% of the time.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Python or R (Python preferred).
• Proven background in deploying NLP models and using machine learning techniques.
• Experience in SQL and deploying machine learning solutions at scale.
• Must be a “US Person” as defined by the export control compliance requirements (22 C.F.R. § 120.15).

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 5 years of Python experience and technical degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Advanced knowledge of machine learning libraries and cloud computing environments.
• Strong foundation in Natural Language Processing from theoretical and practical aspects.
