Summary of Position: Alcon is actively seeking a Data Scientist with expertise in Machine Learning and Data Science. This role is pivotal to our R&D department, focusing on the AI/ML functions. As a Data Scientist at Alcon, you will be integral in product development and process automation, utilizing your advanced coding skills and analytics capabilities to deliver real-world solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree; however, M.S. or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Vision Science, Engineering, or related quantitative fields is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models.
• Proficiency in Python and popular data science libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch.
• Experience with AWS cloud computing platforms (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, SageMaker).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with data engineers and ML engineers to build scalable ML models.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills.
• At least 7 years of relevant industry experience.
