What You Will Do

As a Field Data Scientist at Howso, you will play a pivotal role in delivering professional services engagements that aid our clients in crafting, scaling, and refining ML solutions on the Howso platform. You will collaborate closely with our engineering, product, and sales teams, offering a unique chance to engage cross-functionally within a rapidly growing company.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a subject matter expert in data science, ML, and data analytics for our clients.
• Building and fine-tuning client data science projects and applying best practices to implement these projects across diverse domains.
• Advising client data teams on data science best practices.
• Guiding clients through the evaluation and adoption of the Howso platform.
• Supporting clients by creating reference notebooks and how-to guides.
• Integrating Howso with third-party data sources using Python to enhance customer solutions.
• Developing successful relationships with clients by delivering both technical and business value.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A foundation in math, probability, statistics, and algorithms.
• Practical experience in applying ML technologies and frameworks such as Keras or Scikit-learn.
• Proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of feature engineering.
• 2-4 years of customer-facing pre-sales or consulting experience with a core focus on data science.
• Experience in a public cloud ML environment (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or GCP).
• A collaborative spirit and engaging personality, essential for partnering effectively with Howso clients.
• A background in MLOps, data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology is advantageous.
• A BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a similar field.
