About the Role: Data Analyst/Power BI Developer
Our finance operation is at the core of Next, managing and reporting on the profitability of our 450 stores, 70+ websites, and our marketing effectiveness. We also handle income from various sales channels and supplier payments. As part of our commitment to innovation, we're seeking a Data Analyst/Power BI Developer to join our Finance Data Analytics team and enhance our data visualisation and reporting capabilities.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into Power BI solutions.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualise key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and trends.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports.
- Identify and implement improvements to existing Power BI solutions to enhance usability and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
- Provide support and training to end-users on how to navigate and utilise Power BI reports effectively.
About You / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI with experience in developing interactive dashboards and reports.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in Retail is a plus.
