About the Role

Co-op is seeking a dedicated Finance Master Data Manager to join our innovative Co-op Business Services (CBS) team. CBS is a diverse group committed to delivering top-notch, reliable, and cost-effective business services for the Co-op. Your role will be vital in advancing CBS's mission to "co-operate to build more value for member-owners every day."

As a Finance Master Data Manager, you will lead a team of Master Data Specialists in developing and implementing finance master data governance, policies, and standards. You will ensure that our data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with both regulations and industry best practices. With the upcoming transition to SAP S4 HANA, you will be our in-house expert, guiding us to ensure our new system captures the right data effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enhance the quality of master data through data profiling, cleansing, and validation processes
  • Oversee the creation, modification, and closure of finance master data across multiple systems
  • Define and control data standards for naming conventions, formats, and categorisation to ensure system-wide consistency
  • Assign data ownership to relevant business units or data specialists
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to master data
  • Lead a team of Master Data Specialists to ensure timely and accurate data updates
  • Implement data security measures to protect sensitive master data from unauthorized access or breaches
  • Support data migration projects to ensure accurate transformation and transfer of finance master data during system upgrades or migrations

Ideal Candidates Will Have

  • Experience in maintaining and managing finance master data in SAP
  • Strong line management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with change control and management
